Bulgarini, Lugana 2024 White

Bulgarini Lugana 2024 is a fresh, expressive white wine from the southern shores of Lake Garda, crafted from the region’s signature Turbiana grape. Produced by a respected family estate situated between Lombardy and Veneto, it combines the lively character of Lugana with the mineral influence of the area’s distinctive soils.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw in colour, this Lugana offers an inviting nose of citrus, white flowers and crisp orchard fruit, with a subtle mineral freshness. On the palate, it is bright and well-balanced, combining notes of lemon, green apple and pear with a refreshing acidity and a clean, lightly saline finish. The wine is designed to be enjoyed for its youthful freshness and purity, although its natural acidity should allow it to develop additional texture and complexity over the next few years when properly stored.

Production
The wine is made from Turbiana, also known as Trebbiano di Lugana, grown in vineyards near Lake Garda. Bulgarini’s estate includes both gravelly, clay-rich soils on the plains and more calcareous hillside sites, giving the winery access to different expressions of Lugana. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness and handled to preserve their fresh aromas, vibrant acidity and mineral character; specific harvesting and vinification details for the 2024 vintage are not provided.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Bulgarini Lugana is an excellent match for freshwater fish, shellfish, sushi, grilled vegetables, light salads and delicate pasta dishes. It is also enjoyable as an aperitif and generally does not require decanting.

Cantina Bulgarini is a family-owned winery located in the Lugana region, close to Lake Garda on the border between Lombardy and Veneto. Today, Fausto and Virginia Bulgarini lead the estate, continuing its development with respect for family tradition and the local environment. The winery owns more than 50 hectares of vineyards, with a strong focus on Turbiana as well as regional red varieties such as Corvina and Marzemino and international grapes including Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
