Bruichladdich Octomore 14.1 is an intensely peated Islay single malt Scotch whisky, crafted for those who appreciate powerful smoke balanced by remarkable precision. Despite its imposing peat level, it retains the freshness, sweetness and maritime character that define Bruichladdich’s modern approach to whisky-making.

Aroma & Palate
The nose opens with dense peat smoke, glowing embers and coastal salt, followed by hints of vanilla, lemon zest, malted barley and soft oak. On the palate, the whisky is full-bodied and warming, combining sweet vanilla and honeyed malt with citrus, pepper, toasted oak and layers of earthy smoke. The finish is long and persistent, with lingering charcoal, spice and a subtle sweetness.

Distillation & Maturation
Octomore 14.1 is made from 100% Scottish barley and is heavily peated to approximately 128.9 ppm. It is matured for five years in first-fill American whiskey casks, which contribute notes of vanilla, coconut and toasted oak while allowing the intense peat character to remain at the centre. Bottled at 59.6% ABV, it is presented without chill-filtration or added colouring.

Serving Suggestions
Enjoy it neat at room temperature to explore its full intensity, or add a few drops of water to soften the alcohol and reveal more citrus and malt. It can also be served over a large ice cube, although the whisky’s high strength and complexity are best appreciated without dilution. For food, pair it with smoked salmon, grilled seafood, mature hard cheese or dark chocolate.
