Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a vivid ruby-red color that hints at its freshness and energy. The nose is lifted and expressive, with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, mint, and rose petals, all wrapped in a delicate floral and herbal frame. The palate is youthful and vibrant, with a bright, natural freshness that carries flavors of blackberry, boysenberry, black tea, spice, and earthy nuance. It has the kind of structure and concentration that suggest excellent development over time, and it is expected to reach its full stride after around 10 years, while remaining impressive for at least 15 years or more.

Production
This wine comes entirely from the Machado vineyard in California, where sandy soils and highly favorable wind and weather conditions help create Pinot Noir with finesse and clarity. Greg Brewer works with whole clusters during fermentation, one of his defining techniques, and ages the wine exclusively in used barrels to keep the focus on purity of fruit rather than oak influence.
