Tasting Notes
In the glass, Montebruna shows a deep ruby-violet colour that hints at its lively fruit profile. The bouquet is immediately expressive, with aromas of ripe cherry, small red berries, and a fragrant, almost floral lift that makes the wine especially inviting. The palate is rich and harmonious, with a full, generous texture balanced by Barbera’s natural freshness. Flavours of dark cherry and red fruit carry through to a long finish, where the wine closes with a subtle almond note and impressive persistence. With its structure and balance, it has very good ageing potential, though it is also exceptionally enjoyable in its youth.

Production
Montebruna is produced in Piedmont’s Barbera d’Asti DOCG, in the heart of the Monferrato Asti area, where Barbera finds one of its most expressive homes. The vineyards benefit from the region’s distinctive hillside terroir, which helps preserve freshness while developing ripe, concentrated fruit. The wine is made from 100% Barbera, with harvesting and vinification carried out to preserve the grape’s vivid aromatics, depth, and natural balance.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine, ideal with roasted meats, grilled sausages, rich pasta dishes, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C to bring out its aromatic lift and supple structure, and decant briefly if serving young to allow the fruit and savoury nuances to open fully.
