Tasting Notes
In the glass, Bowmore 30 Year Old typically shows a deep amber to polished mahogany hue, reflecting decades in cask. The nose opens with gentle peat smoke, dried fruit, dark chocolate and polished wood, often joined by citrus peel, tobacco and maritime salinity. The palate is layered and silky, combining sweet sherry richness, orchard and dried fruits, roasted nuts, cocoa and a measured thread of smoke. The finish is long, warming and highly refined, with lingering oak spice, coastal minerality and softly fading peat. With such maturity, it is best enjoyed now for its complexity and balance rather than cellared for further development.
