Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red colour with the softer edges expected from a well-aged vintage. The nose is expressive and layered, with ripe red and dark fruit, spice, tobacco, and subtle oak notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and refined, with a balanced interplay of bright acidity and structured tannins. Flavours of mature fruit, spice, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate lead into a long, harmonious finish. This is a wine that has already developed beautifully, though it may still hold some appeal for careful further cellaring depending on storage conditions.

Production
Produced in Tuscany from Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, Boscarelli 1990 reflects the region’s classic terroir of sunlit hills, good drainage, and the natural freshness that defines fine Tuscan reds. The grapes were harvested in 1990 and the wine was then aged in oak barrels to build structure, soften the tannins, and deepen the aromatic profile.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for roasted or grilled red meats, game, and richly flavoured dishes such as braised beef or venison. It also pairs beautifully with mature cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C and decant for 30–60 minutes if the bottle appears to need opening up, especially to separate any sediment and allow the aromas to unfold.
