Tasting Notes
The wine displays an inviting deep red colour. Its expressive nose opens with aromas of ripe red fruit, including cherries and blackberries, complemented by notes of vanilla, toasted oak and tobacco. On the palate, it arrives full-bodied and smooth, with a fleshy texture, ripe tannins and a pleasant sense of richness. The finish is soft, rounded and persistent, with fruit and gentle oak notes lingering attractively. It is ready to enjoy now, while its structure should allow it to develop further over the next few years when properly stored.

Production
Produced in Ribera del Duero, the wine reflects the region’s suitability for Tempranillo, the area’s dominant grape variety. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the fruit’s freshness and definition. The wine is then matured for four months in a balanced combination of French and American oak—50% of each—adding vanilla, toast and tobacco nuances without overshadowing the ripe fruit.

Food & Serving
Its full-bodied yet approachable character makes it a natural partner for roast lamb, grilled or braised beef, pork, hearty stews and savoury mushroom dishes. It also pairs well with mature cheeses and traditional Spanish charcuterie. Serve at approximately 16–18°C. Decanting is not essential, but a short 20–30 minute decant can help the wine open up, especially when served alongside a substantial meal.

Bodegas Pascual is a traditional family winery based in Ribera del Duero, where it began producing fine-quality wines in 1986. The estate is known for its careful approach, passion and respect for the terroir, combining regional winemaking traditions with modern technology. In addition to its Ribera del Duero vineyards, the family also has vineyards in Rueda and Rías Baixas, giving the producer a presence across several of Spain’s notable wine regions.
