Tasting Notes
Pale and luminous in appearance, the wine opens with inviting aromas of citrus, green apple and delicate white flowers. On the palate, it is fresh and precise, with vibrant acidity, a discreet mineral edge and a crisp, dry finish. Its aromatic freshness makes it ideal for drinking young, although it should retain its vitality over the next year or two when well stored.

Production
The vineyards of Bodegas As Laxas lie in Val do Salnés, close to the Atlantic Ocean, where Albariño benefits from a cool maritime climate and granite-rich soils. The wine is produced by the estate’s experienced oenological team and fermented under temperature control in stainless-steel tanks. It sees no oak ageing, allowing the grape’s natural purity, freshness and coastal character to take centre stage.

A natural partner for shellfish and seafood, this Albariño is particularly well suited to prawns, mussels, grilled fish and light tapas. Its crisp acidity also complements fresh salads, simply prepared vegetables and other uncomplicated dishes. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary; open shortly before serving to preserve its lively aromatic expression.
