Bodegas Anadas CARE XCLNT 2022 is a distinctive white wine from DO Cariñena, offering a generous, full-bodied style shaped by both stainless-steel freshness and considered oak and concrete maturation. Part of the producer’s CARE project—named after the ancient Roman name for Cariñena—it reflects Bodegas Anadas’ commitment to expressing the character of its historic home region.

Tasting Notes
The wine has a straw-yellow colour with bright golden nuances. Its nose is intense and complex, combining aromas of tropical fruit and citrus with subtle spice and dried nut notes. On the palate, it is soft yet refreshing, with impressive weight and a rounded, well-textured finish. Thanks to its time on the lees, French oak and concrete, the wine offers more depth than a straightforward young white. It is enjoyable now, while its structure and maturation suggest it should develop gracefully over the short to medium term when properly stored.

Production
Bodegas Anadas is located in the heart of DO Cariñena, although the grape variety and specific vineyard details for this cuvée are not provided. Fermentation takes place in 5,000-litre stainless-steel tanks at 16°C, followed by two months of maturation on the lees with daily bâtonnage. The wine then spends six months in French oak barrels and a further twelve months in concrete tanks, building texture, complexity and balance.

Food & Serving
A versatile match for tuna, cod and poultry, this white also works well with grilled fish, creamy seafood dishes and lightly seasoned roast chicken. Serve lightly chilled at around 10–12°C. Decanting is not essential, but a brief period of aeration in a carafe can help reveal its layered aromas and fuller texture.

Founded in 1935, Bodegas Anadas is one of the oldest family-owned wineries in the Cariñena region. The estate is best known for its Garnacha-based red wines, complemented by a select range of white and rosé wines under the CARE name. The CARE project is an exclusive and carefully developed expression of the region, with meticulous attention given to vineyard selection, winery infrastructure and vinification. Its distinctive labels, created by artist Enrique Torrijos, are designed to evoke the sun and soils of Cariñena.
