Bodegas Anadas’ CariñenaCare Garnacha Nativa 2023 is a richly styled red from the heart of Spain’s historic DO Cariñena. Made from Garnacha and aged for eight months in American oak, it combines ripe fruit with subtle cocoa and coffee notes, showcasing the care and precision behind the winery’s dedicated CARE project.

Tasting Notes
The wine displays a clear, vivid red colour. Its expressive nose reveals ripe red and black fruits, complemented by inviting nuances of cocoa and roasted coffee beans. On the palate, it is mature, spicy and generously flavoured, with perfectly integrated tannins lending structure without overwhelming the fruit. The finish is rich, elegant, powerful and fruit-driven. It is approachable now, while its balanced structure and oak maturation should allow it to develop further over the next few years when properly stored.

Production
Produced in DO Cariñena from carefully selected Garnacha vineyards, the wine reflects the region’s potential for full-bodied, characterful reds. Bodegas Anadas selects vineyard sites primarily for fruit quality and applies a precise, quality-focused approach throughout vinification. The wine is then matured for eight months in American oak barrels, adding layers of spice, cocoa and coffee to the ripe fruit profile.

Food & Serving
Serve this Garnacha with roasted meats, lamb, hearty stews, pasta dishes and mature cheeses. Its generous fruit, spice and well-integrated tannins make it particularly well suited to richly flavoured, slow-cooked dishes. Serve lightly cool at around 16–18°C. Decanting is not essential, but 30 minutes in a decanter can help open the wine and soften its powerful character.
