Bodegas Anadas, CariñenaCare Finca Marimú 2022

Bodegas Anadas’ CariñenaCare Finca Marimú 2022 is a richly textured red from the heart of Spain’s DO Cariñena, shaped by ripe dark fruit, polished tannins and 12 months in French oak. Part of the winery’s dedicated CARE project, it reflects a meticulous approach to vineyard selection and winemaking, presented with label artwork by Spanish artist Enrique Torrijos.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a clear garnet colour with a vivid purple rim. Its nose combines blackberry, plum and blackcurrant with nuanced notes of coffee beans and dried herbs, creating an inviting balance between ripe fruit and oak-derived complexity. On the palate, generous dark-fruit flavours are supported by mature tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is rich, persistent and well balanced. It is approachable now after some aeration, while its fruit concentration, acidity and oak maturation should allow it to develop further over the next few years when stored in suitable conditions.

Production
The wine comes from the Cariñena region, where Bodegas Anadas carefully selects vineyards based on the quality and character of the fruit. As part of the CARE project, every stage of production—from vineyard choice and winery infrastructure to the vinification process—is handled with particular precision. Finca Marimú 2022 is matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, adding depth and subtle roasted spice to the ripe fruit profile. The grape variety and specific harvesting method have not been provided.

Food & Serving
Its full-bodied character and polished tannins make it a natural partner for grilled or roasted red meats, lamb, Iberian cured meats, hearty stews and mature hard cheeses. Serve at approximately 16–18°C. Decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended, especially when opening the wine in its youth, to soften the structure and allow the dark-fruit and coffee notes to open up.
