Bodega Malma Patagonia Chacra Malbec La Papay is a distinctive Patagonian Malbec that combines ripe fruit, elegance, and the freshness that defines Argentina’s southern vineyards. Made from 100% Malbec and aged in French and American oak, it reflects both the power of the grape and the cool-climate character of Patagonia, a region increasingly admired for refined, expressive reds.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, vibrant red color with plenty of intensity. The nose is inviting and layered, with aromas of fresh raspberries, plums, and cherries, followed by subtle floral hints and a gentle touch of oak. On the palate, it is richly fruit-driven and complex, with notes of violet and vanilla complementing the core of red berries and stone fruit. The wine has good structure, fine tannins, and enough depth to suggest it will continue to develop well over the next few years.

Production
This Malbec comes from Patagonia, where cool nights, sunny days, and the region’s dry climate help preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The grapes are vinified to emphasize purity of fruit and balance, then the wine is matured for 9 months in French and American oak barrels, adding texture, spice, and a discreet vanilla note without overpowering the variety’s natural character.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled beef, lamb, barbecue, roasted vegetables, and dishes with mushrooms or smoky seasoning. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and if possible, decant for 30–45 minutes to allow the wine’s aromas and texture to open fully.
