Bellavista Franciacorta Teatro alla Scala Brut 2021

Dedicated to the legendary Teatro alla Scala in Milan, this is one of Bellavista’s most expressive Franciacorta cuvées and a true showcase of the house style. Built mainly on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from a rigorous selection of individual vineyards, it combines elegance, intensity, and the kind of balance that has made Bellavista one of Lombardy’s benchmark producers in Metodo Franciacorta.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the refined, luminous character expected of a top Franciacorta, with a fine mousse and a poised, elegant presence. The nose is layered and complex, with notes that typically range from fresh citrus and white flowers to ripe orchard fruit, subtle brioche, and delicate toasted nuances. On the palate, it is statuesque and beautifully structured, offering both generosity and precision. The wine balances freshness with depth, carrying the vintage character while remaining polished and harmonious; with time, it can gain even more nuance, revealing greater complexity and a more savoury, creamy texture.

Production
Bellavista sources fruit from carefully selected vineyards across Franciacorta, where the cool Lombardy climate and varied soils help preserve freshness while building aromatic complexity. The blend is composed predominantly of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, chosen through a radical selection of individual parcels to capture only the finest fruit for this cuvée. Vinified according to Metodo Franciacorta, the wine is crafted to express both vintage character and the signature Bellavista style.

Food & Serving
Ideal with refined seafood dishes, shellfish, sushi, light poultry, risotto, and creamy pasta preparations, as well as aperitif service for more special occasions. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C to highlight its finesse and energy; decanting is not recommended, as the wine is best enjoyed for its delicate mousse and aromatic precision.
