Produced almost entirely from Merlot sourced from the oldest parcel in Le Sondraie, with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon, it reflects a distinctive coastal terroir with elegance and precision.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it presents a deep, насыщ rich color, hinting at concentration and structure. The nose is typically generous and layered, with ripe dark berries, plum, and subtle savory nuances, supported by notes of spice and Mediterranean character. On the palate, Merlot brings supple texture and round fruit, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds backbone, length, and definition. The result is a wine that feels polished yet expressive, with enough freshness and structure to develop further in bottle over time.

Production
Bell’Aja comes from the Le Sondraie area of Bolgheri, a site strongly influenced by the maritime climate and the well-draining soils that help shape wines of balance and finesse. The fruit is drawn from the oldest parcel of the vineyard, where mature vines contribute concentration and complexity, and the blend is completed with a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon to reinforce structure. Vinification is aimed at preserving the purity of fruit and the identity of this unique terroir.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled or roasted red meats, lamb, game, and richly flavored Tuscan dishes such as pappardelle with meat ragù. It also pairs well with aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for about 1 hour is recommended to let the wine fully open.
