Bel Colle Barolo Monvigliero 2020 is a refined expression of one of Verduno’s most prized sites, often regarded as a true Grand Cru within the area. Crafted with a clear respect for local tradition and a focus on purity and balance, it reflects both the pedigree of its vineyard and the classic elegance that has made Barolo legendary.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a garnet-red color with orange reflections, hinting at both youth and early maturity. The nose is intense and distinctive, with an ethereal, inviting perfume that opens gradually in the glass. On the palate, it is dry and structured, yet surprisingly smooth, with a firm presence softened by a velvety texture and harmonious finish. The wine has the backbone to develop beautifully with time, gaining even more complexity over the coming years.

Production
The grapes come from vineyards in Verduno, one of the finest areas for Barolo, situated at 200–300 feet above sea level. The vines average 25 years of age and are planted on south-facing slopes with calcareous clay soils, conditions that help produce wines with depth, structure, and aromatic finesse. Harvesting and vinification follow a quality-focused approach designed to preserve the character of the site and the traditional identity of Barolo.

Food & Serving
This Barolo pairs beautifully with red meats, braised dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve it at 18–20°C, and decant gently before serving to allow its aromas and structure to unfold fully.

Producer
Bel Colle was founded 45 years ago by brothers Franco and Carlo Pontiglione together with Giuseppe Priola. Since 2015, it has been part of the Bosio family estate in Santo Stefano Belbo, where the house continues its philosophy of producing high-quality wines that honor local tradition while appealing to modern wine lovers. The winery has earned a respected place in Piemonte for its thoughtful, terroir-driven style.
