Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a translucent garnet hue with brick-toned reflections that are characteristic of mature Nebbiolo. The nose is refined and layered, with aromas of rose petals, dried cherry, wild strawberry, tar, truffle, and sweet spice, unfolding gradually in the glass. On the palate, it is elegant and precise, with firm but polished tannins, bright acidity, and a savory core of red fruit, earth, and herbs. The 2005 vintage should now be entering a very expressive phase, yet it still has the structure to evolve further with careful cellaring. Depending on storage, it can age gracefully for many more years.
