Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby colour with youthful brightness at the rim. The nose is layered and expressive, with delicate berry fruit lifted by notes of crushed oyster shell, dark spice, and a subtle smoky, ember-like character. The palate is firm, vertical, and beautifully focused, balancing elegant fruit with impressive concentration and a distinctly mineral edge. It finishes long and persistent, with the structure to age gracefully over the coming years.

Production
Colledilà comes from Sangiovese vines planted on clay-limestone soils rich in calcium carbonate and low in organic matter, a terroir that encourages freshness, tension, and mineral nuance. The grapes are carefully harvested to preserve purity and balance, and vinification is carried out to capture the site’s elegant fruit profile while building the concentration and structure expected of a Gran Selezione.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla Fiorentina, roasted lamb, wild boar ragù, and aged Pecorino. Serve at around 16–18°C; decanting for about 1–2 hours is recommended, especially in its youth, to allow the aromatics and structure to open fully.
