Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red colour with impressive intensity and maturity. The bouquet is layered and elegant, with ripe fruit, spice, tobacco, and subtle hints of vanilla and chocolate developing as it opens. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet refined, with beautifully integrated tannins and vibrant acidity that keep the wine poised and balanced. The finish is long and persistent, and while already expressive, it still has the structure to continue ageing gracefully for additional years.

Production
Produced in Tuscany from 100% Sangiovese, this Brunello Riserva was harvested in 1983 and aged for 36 months in oak barrels followed by a further 36 months in bottle before release. The long maturation period gives the wine its depth, complexity, and classic Brunello character, shaped by the region’s warm days, cooler nights, and well-suited vineyard conditions.

Ideal with roasted red meats, game dishes, and mature cheeses, this wine is best served at 18–20°C. Decanting is recommended, especially if opening now, to allow the aromas to fully unfold and the wine to show its best expression.
