Azienda Agricola Cornarea, Roero Arneis 2022 White

Tasting Notes
Bright and inviting in the glass, the wine opens with delicate aromas of white flowers, pear, pineapple and passion fruit. These notes carry through to the palate, where a full, creamy and harmonious opening is balanced by a rich, remarkably refreshing finish. The wine is ready to enjoy now, when its vibrant fruit and freshness are at their most expressive. It can also develop additional complexity over the short term, provided it is stored in suitable cellar conditions.

Production
Cornarea is located near Canale in the heart of Roero, surrounded by the estate’s rolling hills and approximately 15 hectares of vineyards planted mainly with Arneis and Nebbiolo. The grapes are fermented under controlled temperatures to preserve their delicate aromas and freshness, followed by ageing on the lees, which contributes to the wine’s creamy texture and depth.

Food & Serving
An excellent aperitif, this Roero Arneis pairs beautifully with both hot and cold starters, as well as flavourful dishes such as risotto, pasta with pesto or mushroom-based preparations. It is also a natural match for seasonal cheeses, lighter meats and seafood. Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary, although allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass will help its aromas unfold.

Producer
Azienda Agricola Cornarea is based in Canale, in the historic Roero area of Piedmont. In the mid-1970s, Piero and Francesca began planting Arneis, an indigenous grape variety that was almost extinct in the region at the time, with results that helped demonstrate its considerable potential. Today, they work alongside their sons Gian Nicola and Pierfranco to preserve the estate’s traditions and produce high-quality wines that reflect the identity of Roero.
