Tasting Notes
The wine has a bright ruby-red colour and an inviting, aromatic nose of ripe cherries and violets, complemented by subtle spicy notes of liquorice and cinnamon. On the palate, it is warm and full-bodied, with lively acidity, well-integrated tannins and a rounded finish marked by flavours of berry preserve. Although approachable in its youth, the wine’s acidity and tannic structure should allow it to develop added softness and complexity over the next few years when properly stored.

Production
Cornarea is situated in Canale, in the heart of Roero, surrounded by the estate’s gently rolling hills. The 15-hectare property is planted with Arneis and Nebbiolo, and this Nebbiolo is matured for one year in 14-hectolitre casks, allowing the wine to gain depth and balance while preserving its fragrant fruit character. Specific harvesting methods and fermentation details are not provided.

Food & Serving
A versatile choice for hearty dishes, this Nebbiolo pairs particularly well with red meat, roasts, game and mature cheeses. Serve lightly cool, at around 16–18°C. It can be enjoyed without decanting, although a brief decant of 30–60 minutes may help open the aromas and soften the youthful tannins.

Azienda Agricola Cornarea is a family-run estate in Canale, Roero. In the mid-1970s, Piero and Francesca planted Arneis at a time when the local variety was close to disappearing from the area, helping contribute to its revival and renewed recognition. Today, their sons Gian Nicola and Pierfranco work alongside them to preserve Cornarea’s traditions and maintain the estate’s focus on quality.
