Azienda Agricola Altùris, Friuli Nice wine 2023 White

A refined white wine from Friuli in northeastern Italy, Azienda Agricola Altùris Friuli Nice 2023 combines ripe fruit, gentle richness and elegant vanilla notes. Tasting Notes
The wine shows a straw-yellow colour with attractive golden nuances. Its aroma is elegant and fruit-driven, with ripe fruit complemented by delicate notes of vanilla and freshly baked cake. On the palate, it is rounded and supple, with generous fruit and a smooth texture that lingers pleasantly on the finish. It is approachable now and best enjoyed in its youthful, aromatic style, although it should develop additional softness over the short term when carefully stored.

Production
Altùris’ vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate in Friuli, close to Venice and the borders of Austria and Slovenia. The Julian Alps shelter the vines from cold northern winds, while breezes from the Adriatic help moderate temperatures and support a long, balanced ripening period. The grapes are allowed to reach slight over-ripeness on the vine before being gently pressed whole. The resulting must is statically cold-clarified and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by slow maturation in 500-litre tonneaux barrels.

Food & Serving
A versatile choice for rich pasta dishes, fish and seafood, light meats and medium-aged cheeses. Serve lightly chilled at approximately 10–12°C to bring out its ripe fruit and creamy texture. Decanting is generally unnecessary, though allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass can help its vanilla and ripe-fruit aromas unfold.

Azienda Agricola Altùris was founded by brothers Marco and Massimo Zorzettig, heirs to a historic family with three generations of experience and a strong reputation for entrepreneurship in the wine world. The name Altùris refers to the beautiful hills of Friuli in the family’s native language. The estate is dedicated to expressing the character of local grape varieties while producing distinctive, high-quality wines that reflect the region’s exceptional natural conditions.
