Tasting Notes
In the glass, this is a deeply colored red with an inky, dark-fruit profile. The nose is generous and expressive, showing blackberries, black cherries, licorice, and warm spice, all wrapped around a powerful but polished character. On the palate, it is full-bodied and layered, with ripe dark fruit, sweet tannins, and a smooth, almost creamy texture. Despite its impressive intensity, the wine remains beautifully balanced and finishes long, with lingering spice and mineral depth. It has excellent aging potential and will continue to gain complexity over the coming years.

Production
Astrales Christina comes from a single parcel in Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León, where the old Tempranillo vines are rooted in one of Spain’s most demanding and distinctive terroirs. The very old vines naturally yield small, concentrated berries, giving the wine its depth, structure, and aromatic intensity. The vinification is focused on preserving purity, balance, and the character of the vineyard rather than overwhelming extraction.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled beef, game, braised short ribs, and rich dishes with mushrooms or black truffle. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if drinking now, as this will help open the aromatics and soften the structure.
