Description

Domaine Armand Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers 2010 is a striking expression of one of Gevrey-Chambertin’s most coveted Premier Cru sites. It combines the domaine’s hallmark elegance with deep structure, mineral drive, and the pedigree of a benchmark Burgundy producer. The 2010 vintage adds freshness, precision, and impressive ageing potential to an already классic wine.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a refined, concentrated profile with a polished ruby hue. The nose opens with dark berries such as blackcurrant and cherry, layered with violets, warm spice, and a subtle toasted note that adds depth without overpowering the fruit. On the palate, the wine is elegant yet firmly structured, with precise tannins, lively acidity, and a mineral backbone that gives it real length and tension. It is beautifully balanced now, but the combination of concentration and freshness suggests it will continue to evolve gracefully over the coming years.

Production
Les Cazetiers is a highly regarded Premier Cru vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin, known for wines that are intense, structured, and distinctly mineral in character. The site’s exposure and terroir contribute to the wine’s depth and precision, while the 2010 growing season in Burgundy delivered ideal conditions for balanced ripening and freshness. Vinified in the classic style of Domaine Armand Rousseau, the wine reflects careful handling, thoughtful extraction, and a focus on purity of fruit and terroir expression.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with fine poultry, roast duck, veal, game birds, or dishes featuring earthy mushrooms and truffle. Serve at around 16–18°C to highlight its aromatic complexity and delicate structure. Decanting for about 1–2 hours is recommended if opening now, especially if you want to soften the tannins and allow the bouquet to fully unfold.

Producer
Domaine Armand Rousseau is one of Burgundy’s most legendary estates, revered for its precise, age-worthy Pinot Noirs and exceptional holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin and beyond. Founded in the early 20th century, the domaine has become a reference point for lovers of fine Burgundy, with a reputation built on consistency, finesse, and site expression. Its wines are highly sought after worldwide and are often considered among the finest examples of the region.
