Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright pale golden color. The nose opens with ripe yellow pear, pineapple, honeydew melon, apple blossom, and a touch of vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a rounded texture, but it remains fresh and well balanced. The fruity aromas carry through beautifully, giving the wine a smooth, inviting character that makes it easy to enjoy now. It is best appreciated young for its lively fruit, though it should hold well for a few years.

Production
This Chardonnay is made from hand-harvested grapes picked across select vineyard sites throughout California, bringing together fruit from different areas to achieve richness and balance. Winemaker Bill Batchelor presses the whole clusters without destemming, then the wine undergoes both primary and secondary fermentation before aging for seven months on the lees in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The result is a Chardonnay with layered texture, gentle oak influence, and a clean, modern style.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile Chardonnay that works well with roast chicken, creamy pasta, grilled salmon, shellfish, or simply a good cheese board. Serve it chilled at around 10–12°C. Decanting is not necessary, but a few minutes in the glass will help the aromas open up nicely.
