Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby hue with youthful brilliance. The nose leans toward ripe blackcurrant, plum, violet, and subtle spice, with hints of cedar and cocoa adding complexity. On the palate, it is supple and polished, with fine tannins, layered dark fruit, and a graceful, medium-bodied structure. The finish is persistent and balanced, and while already attractive in its youth, it should gain extra nuance over the next 8 to 12 years under proper cellar conditions.

Produced in Margaux, Bordeaux, Alter Ego benefits from the estate’s finely gravelly soils, which contribute to freshness, aromatic lift, and finesse. Food & Serving
An excellent match for roast duck, lamb, beef tenderloin, mushroom dishes, and truffle-based cuisine. Serve at 16-18°C and decant for about 30 to 60 minutes if opened young, to allow the wine to fully open and soften.
