On the palate, expect a powerful yet focused Syrah with firm tannins, savoury spice, dark fruit, and a mineral backbone that keeps everything balanced. The finish is long and serious, with excellent aging potential; this is a wine that should gain complexity over the next decade or more.

This Cornas is a natural match for lamb, venison, beef stew, roasted game birds, and earthy dishes such as mushroom risotto or lentils with herbs. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially in its youth, to help the wine open and soften its tannins.
