Agricola Falset-Marçà Ètim El Viatge 2023 is a characterful red from Spain’s Montsant region, combining ripe fruit, gentle spice and polished tannins. Made in the heart of a renowned wine-growing area with centuries-old traditions, it offers an approachable expression of Montsant with a subtle touch of French oak.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows an inviting ruby-red colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe red fruit emerge, with notes of strawberry, redcurrant and blackberry, followed by a delicate spicy nuance. The palate is soft and balanced, with supple tannins, fresh fruit character and a light, well-integrated influence of oak. Enjoyable in its youth, it should develop added harmony over the next few years if stored in a cool, dark place.

Production
The grapes are sourced from Agricola Falset-Marçà’s approximately 50 hectares of vineyards in the DO Montsant, an area celebrated for its distinctive terroir and rich winemaking heritage. The estate combines traditional methods with modern winemaking techniques to express the personality of the landscape. Following fermentation, the wine matures for six to eight months in third-use French oak barrels, adding a restrained layer of spice and toast without overshadowing the fruit.

Food & Serving
A versatile red for dishes with exotic flavours, mild meats and fish such as salmon or tuna. It also works well with grilled vegetables, lightly spiced poultry and Mediterranean cuisine. Serve slightly cool, at around 14–16°C. Decanting is not essential, although opening the bottle 20–30 minutes before serving can help reveal its fruit and gentle oak character.
