Description

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2013 is one of Champagne’s most celebrated prestige cuvées, presented here in a collectible original wooden case of six bottles. Made exclusively from Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, it combines purity, finesse, and remarkable depth. The 2013 vintage brings an especially vibrant, cool-climate expression, making this an exceptional release for both connoisseurs and collectors.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the pale golden hue and fine, persistent mousse expected of a great Blanc de Blancs. The nose is elegant and layered, with citrus fruit, green apple, white flowers, and subtle toasted brioche notes from extended lees aging. The palate is precise and energetic, with a pronounced mineral backbone, bright acidity, and a creamy texture that adds breadth without losing tension. The finish is long and refined, and this vintage has the structure to evolve beautifully over the next 10 to 20 years, gaining greater complexity and richness with time.

Production
Produced solely from Chardonnay grown in Grand Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs, the wine reflects the chalky soils and cool conditions that give Taittinger’s top Blanc de Blancs its signature freshness and mineral precision. The 2013 vintage benefited from a cooler growing season, producing grapes with excellent acidity and concentration. After harvest, the wine spent several years aging on the lees to build complexity and textural depth before release.

Food & Serving
This is a Champagne that deserves refined pairings such as oysters, king prawns, scallops, lobster, sashimi, or delicately prepared poultry and creamy risottos. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to preserve its freshness and aromatic detail. Decanting is not necessary, but a short rest in the glass can help the wine open beautifully.

Producer
Champagne Taittinger is one of the most respected family-owned houses in Champagne, known for its elegant, Chardonnay-driven style. With deep roots in the region and a strong reputation for finesse and consistency, Taittinger has become especially admired for its Blanc de Blancs wines. Comtes de Champagne is the house’s iconic prestige cuvée and remains a benchmark for refined Champagne of exceptional quality.
