Tasting Notes
Bright and pale in appearance, this Sauvignon Blanc opens with lifted aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit and fresh herbs, complemented by subtle notes of blackcurrant leaf and citrus zest. The palate is vibrant and focused, balancing juicy tropical fruit with lime, mineral freshness and a clean, lingering finish. Its lively acidity makes it especially appealing in its youth, while the concentration of the Reserve cuvée allows it to develop added complexity over the next few years when carefully stored.

Production
The wine comes from Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, a cool, sunny area known for long growing seasons, pronounced day-to-night temperature variation and free-draining soils—conditions that help preserve Sauvignon Blanc’s aromatic intensity and natural acidity. Saint Clair’s Reserve wines are made from carefully selected fruit and handled to retain freshness, purity and varietal character throughout the winemaking process.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. It is an excellent match for oysters, prawns, grilled fish, sushi and fresh goat’s cheese, while its herbal character also complements asparagus, salads and dishes featuring green herbs. Decanting is not normally required, although allowing the wine to breathe briefly in the glass can help reveal additional aromatic detail.
