Production
This wine comes from the steep devonian slate slopes of the Abtsberg, the monopole vineyard of Weingut Maximin Grünhaus on the Ruwer, a tributary area of the Mosel known for refined, aromatic Riesling. The fruit is selectively hand-harvested with multiple passes through the vineyard to ensure optimal ripeness and balance. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeasts in traditional fuder casks or stainless steel, and the intentionally low must weight preserves the wine’s classic Kabinett style: light, fresh, and precise.

A natural partner for delicate fish dishes, shellfish, and lightly spiced Asian cuisine, this Riesling also works beautifully with goat cheese and fresh salads. For a refreshing experience, serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary; in fact, this wine is best enjoyed young and fresh, straight from the bottle.
