Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, pale straw color with a cool, polished sheen. The nose is finely drawn and expressive, opening with citrus, green apple, and white peach, then moving into smoky mineral notes, herbs, and subtle floral accents. On the palate, the wine is taut, focused, and energetic, with vivid acidity framing the fruit beautifully. Production
The grapes come from the Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland, a steep and highly regarded vineyard in the Rheingau with quarzit and slate soils that lend the wine its mineral backbone and saline edge. Fruit is selectively harvested by hand and handled gently, with spontaneous fermentation using native yeasts. The wine is aged primarily in large traditional oak casks, adding texture and depth without masking the vineyard’s character.

A superb match for shellfish, oysters, fine fish dishes, sushi, poultry, veal, and herb-driven vegetarian cuisine. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and consider a short decant if opening young to help the wine unfold its aromatic layers.
