Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, it opens with a cool, finely drawn bouquet of citrus, white peach, green apple, and subtle herbal nuances, all lifted by a smoky, stony undertone. On the palate it is taut and focused, with vibrant acidity, salty mineral tension, and a sleek fruit core that leads into a long, precise finish. This is a wine built for the cellar, with excellent aging potential that should reward patience over many years.

Production
The grapes come from the steep Rauenthaler Nonnenberg vineyard, whose phyllite- and quartzite-rich soils contribute distinctive tension, salinity, and depth. Harvested selectively by hand and handled gently, the wine is spontaneously fermented with native yeasts and matured mainly in large wooden casks to preserve site character while adding structure and texture.

Food & Serving
An excellent match for seafood, shellfish, fine white fish, and delicate Asian dishes, as well as poultry, veal, or herb-driven vegetarian cuisine. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is generally not necessary, though a short airing can help if the wine is opened young.
