Tasting Notes

Production
The Abtsberg is one of the great sites of the Mosel, defined by steep slopes of Devonian slate that help produce wines of exceptional tension, elegance, and longevity. Grapes are selectively harvested by hand with multiple passes through the vineyard to ensure optimal ripeness and balance. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with natural yeasts in traditional Fuder casks or stainless steel, and the wine is vinified with a consciously low must weight to preserve the light, classic Kabinett style, freshness, and clarity that define this cuvée.

Food & Serving
A superb match for fish, Asian cuisine, and goat’s cheese, as well as lighter desserts such as apple tart or lemon sorbet. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary; a brief opening in the glass is enough to let the aromatics unfold.
