Production
The grapes come from Schloss Johannisberg in the Rheingau, where the vineyards are planted entirely with Riesling. Taunus quartzite, loess soils and the elevated position above the Rhine contribute mineral character, ripe fruit and natural freshness. For this Spätlese, mature Riesling grapes were carefully selected during the challenging 2024 vintage. The wine was made to preserve the grapes’ natural fruit sweetness while maintaining a clear, lively acidity and precise structure.

Food & Serving
A versatile partner for foie gras, duck liver, Thai curry and Vietnamese dishes with moderate spice, the wine also works beautifully with blue cheese. For dessert, try it with fruit-based preparations featuring apricot, peach or citrus, provided they are not excessively sweet. Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary, although briefly allowing the wine to breathe in the glass can help its floral and fruity aromas unfold.
