Production
The Bruderberg is the smallest of Maximin Grünhaus’ monopole sites, just one hectare in size, planted on cool blue slate with an east-facing exposure that encourages slow ripening and vivid aromatic expression. Selective hand harvesting ensures only healthy, fully ripe grapes are picked, preserving the site’s purity and tension. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with natural yeasts, either in traditional fuder casks or stainless steel, with minimal intervention and no fining to keep the focus firmly on terroir. The naturally modest must weight maintains the light-footed Kabinett style, resulting in a wine of finesse, precision, and authentic Mosel character.

This Kabinett is a natural match for oysters, delicate fish dishes, and Asian cuisine with a touch of spice or citrus. It also pairs beautifully with fresh goat cheese, where its acidity and mineral core provide a clean, refreshing contrast. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary.
