Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, this Riesling opens with a bright, precise nose of citrus, green apple, and white peach, layered with a subtle smoky slate and schist nuance. On the palate it is taut and lively, with a linear structure, vibrant acidity, and a distinct salty-mineral edge that gives the wine impressive freshness and definition. The finish is long, elegant, and mouthwatering, with enough depth and balance to suggest good aging potential over the next several years. While highly enjoyable now for its energy and lift, it should also develop greater complexity with time in bottle, gaining honeyed and petrol-driven Riesling notes.

Production
The grapes come from steep, classic vineyards around Rüdesheim, where slate and quartzite soils, combined with a cool microclimate, promote slow ripening and highly aromatic fruit. The harvest was done by hand, and fermentation took place spontaneously, followed by élevage in stainless steel and partly in large wooden casks, with extended lees contact to build texture while preserving the wine’s crisp, site-expressive character.

Food & Serving
This dry Riesling is a natural partner for fish, shellfish, poultry, and refined vegetable dishes, and it works particularly well with lightly spiced Asian cuisine or elegant starters. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary unless you want to open up the wine a little more in its youth.
