Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a vivid, translucent ruby hue. The nose opens with red berries, cherry, and floral notes, lifted by a subtle spicy edge that adds complexity without overwhelming the fruit. The palate is juicy and focused, with lively fruit, a fine-grained tannic structure, and a fresh, polished finish. Built on balance rather than power, it should continue to develop nicely over the next few years, gaining softness and nuance with bottle age.

Production
Sourced from selected vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the wine reflects a landscape of sandy, rocky, and slate-dominated soils under a cool, maritime-influenced climate. These conditions encourage slow ripening and help preserve freshness, clarity, and site expression in the finished wine. The grapes were selectively harvested and handled gently, with a restrained vinification approach designed to highlight freshness, structure, and terroir transparency. Production is small, and the winemaking is intentionally precise to maintain the wine’s natural balance.

Food & Serving
This Pinot Noir is an excellent match for duck, poultry, and veal, as well as mushroom dishes or mature hard cheeses. Serve it slightly cool at 15–17°C, and decanting is not essential, though a short airing can help the wine open up if served young.
