Sourced from the Kanzler Vineyard, planted in 1996 and shaped by Pacific influence, it brings together precision, freshness, and a clear sense of place.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows bright ruby color and a youthful sheen. The nose opens with raspberry, Bing cherry, and strawberry-rhubarb, layered with underbrush, herbs, and a subtle mineral edge. The palate is juicy and focused, with fine-grained tannins, vibrant fruit, and a gentle oak frame that adds structure without overshadowing the wine’s purity. The finish is long, fresh, and slightly earthy, with the kind of balance that suggests excellent aging potential over the next several years.

Production
The grapes come from Kanzler Vineyard in Russian River Valley, a cool-climate site located about 13 km from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard’s maritime fog and moderate temperatures allow for a long, even ripening period that helps preserve freshness and aromatic detail. The fruit was hand-harvested and vinified with a restrained, terroir-first approach using native yeasts, then matured for around 10 months in French oak, including approximately 35% new barrels, to add polish and subtle complexity.

This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with duck, roasted poultry, veal, mushroom dishes, or aged firm cheeses. Serve it slightly cool at 15–17°C, and consider a short decant if opening while still youthful to help the aromatics open up.
