Production
The grapes come from Oestrich in the Rheingau, where loess, sand, and quartzite soils lend the wine both finesse and a marked mineral structure. The wine was spontaneously fermented, aged unfined and unsulfured in used oak barrels, then rested on the lees for several months before being bottled unfiltered, allowing the site and vintage to speak with minimal interference.
