Production
The Chardonnay grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards at the foot of the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County, where kisel-rich, alluvial soils and excellent drainage help produce concentrated, flavorful fruit. The vineyards benefit from the famous Monterey Bay fog and cooling ocean breezes, which slow ripening and preserve acidity, building intensity, depth and structure in the grapes. All fruit is carefully handpicked to ensure only the best clusters reach the winery. Hahn Winery employs modern, temperature-controlled vinification techniques to gently ferment the Chardonnay and preserve its aromatic purity. The wine is then aged in French oak, adding texture, spice and subtle caramel notes that complement the wine’s natural fruit profile.

This 2022 Hahn Estate Chardonnay is a versatile partner at the table, pairing beautifully with cold starters, poultry and white meats, creamy pasta dishes and a range of seafood.
