2022 Dalsheim Hubacker Riesling trocken from F. & F. Peters is a beautifully focused single-vineyard Riesling from one of Rheinhessen’s most celebrated limestone sites. It combines vibrant fruit, chalk-driven minerality, and a refined, Burgundy-inspired winemaking style, making it a standout expression of modern German Riesling.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, luminous color with a refined, polished appearance. The nose opens with mango, mandarin, and grapefruit, lifted by herbaceous spice and a clean citrus edge. On the palate, it is dense yet silky, with flavors of lime, peach, and a distinct salty limestone minerality. The wine finishes long, elegant, and tense, with enough structure and freshness to age gracefully over the next several years.

Production
The Hubacker vineyard in Dalsheim is one of Rheinhessen’s great limestone sites, known for producing Rieslings with precision and depth. F. & F. Peters works with strict hand harvesting and whole-cluster pressing, followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and extended lees contact to preserve purity, texture, and mineral expression.

Food & Serving
This Riesling is an excellent match for fish, veal, and Asian cuisine, and it also pairs beautifully with asparagus, risotto, or goat cheese. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration can help the wine open further in its youth.
