Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Riesling is crystalline and bright, with a refined, almost shimmering clarity. The nose opens with slate, white flowers and a subtle saline edge, leading into a palate that feels silky yet vividly energetic. Zesty citrus, fine herbal spice and a discreet touch of wood add depth without masking the vineyard character. The finish is long, salty and incisive, with the structure and acidity to age beautifully for many years, developing additional complexity and nuance over time.

Production
Domäne Serrig is a unique single-vineyard site on the Saar, planted with around 25 hectares of Riesling on steep slopes of blue and grey slate. The poor, rocky soils and cool climate are ideal for producing wines with precision, freshness and pronounced mineral expression. The grapes are harvested selectively by hand, gently pressed, spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, and matured for a long period on the fine lees in 3,000-liter Stockinger oak casks to preserve transparency and terroir character.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with turbot, scallops, herb-roasted poultry, or refined dishes with ginger and lime, where its acidity and mineral drive can shine. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and consider decanting briefly if you want to open up its aromatics in its youth.
