Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, refined profile with excellent clarity and tension. The nose opens with yellow apple, pear, quince, and white peach, lifted by citrus peel, herbs, and subtle floral notes; with air, deeper layers of honey, flint, and saline minerality emerge. On the palate, the wine is focused and elegant, with vivid acidity, fine texture, and a distinct mineral edge that gives the fruit real definition. Production
Rondevlei is a single-vineyard site in Swartland, a region known for its old bush vines, dry climate, and lean soils that naturally limit yields and intensify flavour. The grapes are selectively hand harvested and handled gently, with fermentation carried out using natural yeasts and minimal intervention to preserve the vineyard’s true expression. The wine then matures for several months on fine lees in used oak barrels, adding texture and complexity without masking its freshness.

Food & Serving
This Chenin Blanc is an excellent match for scallops, lobster, grilled fish, and shellfish, and it also pairs beautifully with poultry, veal, goat cheese, and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Serve it well chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider a short decant if you want to open up its aromatic layers more quickly.
