Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a bright, polished pale gold hue. The nose opens with ripe citrus, white flowers, and fresh almonds, layered with subtle toasted oak and a touch of spice. The palate is powerful yet refined, with impressive density, vivid acidity, and a saline, chalk-driven mineral core. Its balance of richness, structure, and tension gives the wine excellent aging potential, and it should develop added complexity over the next 8–15 years, gaining more depth and nuance with time.

Production
Les Poruzots sits on a prized south-facing slope in Meursault, close to Puligny-Montrachet, where marl, limestone, and red clay soils provide both power and finesse. The vineyard’s old vines, planted between 1947 and 1991, contribute concentration and character. Harvesting is done by hand with careful selection, followed by gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation in 600-liter demi-muids with around 30% new oak. The wine then spends 12 months on fine lees before a further 4–6 months in stainless steel to preserve freshness and clarify the terroir expression.

Food & Serving
This Premier Cru is an excellent match for scallops, lobster, and fine fish dishes, as well as veal fillet or roasted poultry. It also pairs beautifully with mature cheeses such as Comté. Serve at around 10–12°C, and consider decanting for 20–30 minutes if drinking young to help open the wine’s aromatic layers.
