Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, clear appearance that reflects its cool, focused style. The nose opens with white peach, citrus, and yellow apple, layered with herbal nuances and a fine mineral spice. On the palate, the wine is taut, fresh, and crystalline, with lively acidity and a saline mineral core that gives it drive and length. Despite its structure, it remains elegant and balanced, finishing with a long, precise aftertaste. It has excellent aging potential and should develop additional depth and complexity over the coming years.

Production
The Hattenheimer Nussbrunnen is a small 9.7-hectare VDP.Grosse Lage in the Rheingau, protected from northern winds and characterized by sandy loam, tertiary marl, and loess. These soils provide steady water supply and help the grapes achieve slow, even ripeness. At Weingut Prinz, the vineyard is farmed organically and biodynamically, with selective hand harvesting, direct pressing, stainless-steel fermentation, and extended aging on the full lees until bottling in April to preserve freshness while building texture and finesse.

Food & Serving
This Riesling pairs beautifully with sushi and sashimi, grilled zander with lemon butter, herb-roasted poultry, goat’s cheese, or vegetarian dishes featuring fennel and citrus. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C to highlight its freshness and mineral precision. Decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration can help if you want to open it up young.
