Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass with a bright, polished sheen. The nose opens with ripe pear, yellow apple, and white blossoms, layered with hints of brioche, toasted almond, and subtle leesy complexity. On the palate, it is creamy yet tightly focused, combining vivid acidity with a firm mineral backbone and a saline, mouthwatering finish. The wine feels both concentrated and graceful, and its structure suggests it will continue to evolve beautifully over the next several years, gaining even more nuance and texture.

Production
The grapes come from Kaisergarten, one of Rheinhessen’s most calcareous sites, where limestone marl and chalky soils bring freshness, tension, and a distinct saline minerality to the wine. The fruit is harvested by hand with careful selection, then whole-bunch pressed before undergoing spontaneous fermentation in used barriques. After around 15 months on the full lees, the wine spends a short period in stainless steel and is bottled unfiltered and without fining to preserve maximum authenticity.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay is a natural match for grilled fish, seafood, or poultry in rich cream-based sauces, and it also works well with mushroom risotto or mature cheeses. Serve it at around 10–12°C to show both its precision and texture; decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help open up its aromatic complexity.
