My path to wine began when I started my waiter apprenticeship a little over 14 years ago. I didn’t know anything and hadn’t really tasted that much back then, but as I began my school courses, my interest steadily grew.
I was also lucky to have some skilled ‘trained’ (as it’s called) colleagues who were more than happy to share their knowledge. So the years went by and more and more was added… and over time I’ve found out what I think is most exciting about wine, namely: why does each individual wine taste the way it does?
There are, in fact, many angles to dive into. And I have the opportunity to convey that to our guests at the workplace I have, as we both develop wine menus and have a historic wine cellar, where exciting wines have been collected since the 80s.
A good combination of both is probably why I am where I am today, not to forget the good and skilled colleagues – who are probably the most important of all.
