Jakub Filipek

For over nine years primarily served as head sommelier in top restaurants and wine bars in Cracow, Copenhagen and Warsaw. He is currently involved in wine education, consults on wine lists, and co-runs an independent wine import project in Poland – nowofalowi. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous sommelier competitions, earning the titles of Polish Sommelier Champion 2022 and Danish Sommelier Champion 2024. He passed the exams with distinction and obtained the Advanced Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers as well as the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale Gold Certification. He is a graduate of the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines, which he completed at the renowned Austrian Wine Academy in Rust.
