Delivery and Payment Information


www.bottlehero.com is owned and operated by Bottle Hero ApS, CVR no. 43483986

When you shop at Bottle Hero, you are purchasing products from the finest selection of wine shops. When we refer to “our partner” or “partner store,” we mean the shop(s) in partnership with Bottle Hero that provide inventory, product information, handle deliveries, and manage returns for the product(s) you have purchased through our website. You purchase the products through Bottle Hero, and we will facilitate any necessary communication between you and our partners.

The display of products in the online store does not constitute an offer but an invitation to make an offer. A binding agreement is only concluded when you receive an order confirmation.

The following terms and conditions of sale and delivery apply to all deliveries from www.bottlehero.com. These terms apply unless a separate written agreement has been made between the buyer and www.bottlehero.com.


Payment for Goods


www.bottlehero.com is open 24 hours a day, allowing you to shop almost anytime. However, the store may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance periods. Purchases can only be made when the store is open and accessible.

To shop at www.bottlehero.com, you must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid payment card that we accept.

You select the items you wish to purchase and add them to your "shopping cart." You can make changes to the contents of your cart right up until the time of placing your order, and you can continuously review the contents and the total price of the items.
Any additional charges, such as shipping, will be calculated immediately before you proceed to payment.

When you're ready to order, click "checkout," and you will be asked to enter your name, address, email, phone number, payment method, and preferred delivery option.

You may edit your cart contents until you confirm your purchase by accepting and completing the payment.
Your payment will not be charged until the item(s) have been dispatched by our partner store(s).

Each time you place an order through www.bottlehero.com, you will first receive a provisional order confirmation acknowledging that we have received your order.
All orders are subject to availability and price verification, and we reserve the right to cancel your order, or part of it, if a product is either unavailable or not available at the stated price.
Once the order has been accepted and is ready for dispatch, you will receive a final confirmation that your delivery has been shipped.

To improve your shopping experience at www.bottlehero.com, we occasionally send email invitations to review your experience on Trustpilot after completing a purchase.


Pricing and Availability


We make every effort to ensure accurate information, product descriptions, and pricing on our website. Please note that this information is provided by our partner stores, and there may be instances where errors occur.

If we discover a pricing error for a product you have ordered, we will act promptly and notify you on behalf of our partner store(s), offering you the option to either confirm your order at the correct price or cancel it.
If we are unable to reach you, your order will be cancelled.
If you choose to cancel an order that you have already paid for, we will issue a full refund immediately.


Shipping and Delivery Fees


Before completing any transaction on www.bottlehero.com, you will be given the option to choose between free delivery to a designated pickup point or home delivery with direct shipment to the specified delivery address.


Newsletter and SMS Subscription from Bottle Hero


By subscribing to our newsletter and/or SMS service, you consent to Bottle Hero ApS sending you marketing communications via email, SMS, and MMS regarding products marketed and sold directly by Bottle Hero. This includes beer, wine, spirits, glassware, mugs, special offers, sales, competitions, events, and other similar promotional activities.
You also consent to receiving service emails regarding abandoned checkout processes.
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter or SMS service at any time.


Delivery Time and Shipping


Delivery of goods from www.bottlehero.com is considered completed when the customer has received the item. This means that goods are shipped within a maximum of 3 business days after the order is received. Delivery to the buyer's address in Denmark will therefore normally occur within 5 business days. The stated delivery times are indicative and may vary.


Complaints and Defective Products


Your purchase is covered by the Danish Sale of Goods Act, including rules on defects. This means that you may be entitled to have a defective product repaired or replaced, receive a refund, or a reduction in price, depending on the specific circumstances.
The complaint must be justified, and the defect must not have arisen due to incorrect use of the product or other damaging behavior. The right of complaint does not apply if the defect is caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, improper storage, or any other action that has damaged the item.

Customer service may request that you send a photo of the item or delivery in question, or ask you to return the product. Your complaint may be rejected if the defect cannot be documented. Therefore, please do not dispose of defective, incorrect, or poor-quality items—including packaging—until you have been in contact with our customer service.

You must contact us immediately and file your complaint within a "reasonable time" after discovering the defect. We recommend that you file the complaint as soon as possible and no later than 2 months after the defect was discovered.

Depending on the specific case, you will receive further instructions. When returning the product, please provide a detailed description of the issue.

If your complaint is justified, we will refund reasonable shipping costs. If the complaint is not justified, you will be responsible for all transportation costs, including our return shipping costs after inspection. Additionally, we may charge up to €20 for examining the product.

Please remember to send the item in proper packaging and obtain a receipt for the shipment. You are responsible for the product until it is received by our partner store. Therefore, keep the shipping receipt, including details of freight costs and any tracking number.

Note: We do not accept parcels sent COD (cash on delivery) or similar methods.


Cork Taint or Taste-Related Faults


In cases of cork taint or other faults related to the contents of the bottle, the complaint will be assessed in collaboration with the partner store to determine whether compensation is warranted.
As a general rule, the bottle must be returned with the cork intact so that the partner store can verify the fault.

Since wine is a "living" product, compensation should not be expected in cases of corked or oxidized wines that are 8 years old or more from the date of release.


14-Day Right of Withdrawal


When shopping online at www.bottlehero.com, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal during which you may notify us that you wish to cancel your purchase and return the product.
If you cancel an order (or part of an order) within the withdrawal period, you are expected to return the product(s) to the relevant partner store as soon as possible after notifying us—and no later than 14 days from the date you informed us of your intention to withdraw from the purchase.

The withdrawal period begins on the day you receive the product. If the deadline falls on a public holiday, Saturday, Constitution Day (June 5), Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve, the deadline is extended to the following business day.

After receiving the item, you may only handle it in a way that allows you to determine the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us clearly and unambiguously no later than 14 days after receiving the product.

If the withdrawal period has expired and you refuse delivery or fail to collect your package from a pickup point, you are still liable for the product. If the product is returned to us, you will be charged for shipping costs in order to have the item resent.


Returns


If you cancel your purchase, the goods must be returned to the partner store that originally shipped the item.
When returning items, please ensure that they are properly packaged. You are responsible for the condition of the goods until they are received by the partner store. Always keep the shipping receipt and tracking number.

IMPORTANT: We expect you to return the goods as soon as possible after notifying us of your cancellation, and no later than 14 days after exercising your right of withdrawal.
Please note: We do not accept parcels sent COD (cash on delivery).

You must include a copy of your order confirmation or other proof of purchase.


Condition of the Item When Returned


You are only liable for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the product.

If the product has been opened or used beyond what is described above, we consider it as used, meaning that if you withdraw from the purchase, you may receive only part of—or none of—the original purchase amount, depending on the product’s commercial value.

In cases of cork taint or other faults related to the bottle’s contents, the complaint will be assessed in cooperation with the partner store to determine whether compensation is warranted.


Refunds


Once we receive the returned item, we will inspect it and refund the amount you paid at the time of purchase. If you cancel your purchase, you will be reimbursed the full amount paid to us. Any depreciation in value for which you are liable will be deducted from the refund.

If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (excluding any additional costs incurred if you chose a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date we receive the returned item(s).

The refund will always be issued using the same payment method you used for the original transaction. For example, if you paid by card, the amount will be refunded to the same card.

Missing original packaging may result in a depreciation in value. To ensure a full refund, we recommend returning the product in its original packaging.


Alcohol Legislation


Bottle Hero complies with Danish legislation regarding the sale of alcohol.
Therefore, individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to purchase products from Bottle Hero.


Alcohol Duty Reporting


For shipments from foreign partner stores, all relevant duties and taxes are reported, so you as the customer are not required to declare the purchase to the Danish tax authorities (SKAT).
The purchase price shown on the website is the final price you pay when placing your order.


Unclaimed Packages


If we receive a package that has not been collected, we reserve the right to charge you for the associated costs.


Governing Law and Jurisdiction


Purchases made on www.bottlehero.com are subject to Danish law. Any disputes shall be settled by the ordinary Danish courts.
