I am the head sommelier at Restaurant Merlet, the Michelin-starred restaurant set in the dunes of Schoorl. Wine has always fascinated me because of its ability to tell a story of place, people, climate, and craftsmanship. My goal is to translate those stories into memorable experiences in the glass.

I am formally trained through the WSET and certified as a Registered Vinologist of the Netherlands. This combination of international wine education and in-depth regional knowledge allows me to work with both classic appellations and progressive producers with confidence and precision.

My philosophy is simple: I look for wines with identity, balance, and authenticity. Whether it’s an elegant Old World classic or a bold new discovery, I select bottles that excite me and that truly elevate the table. Through my selections, I hope to share not just great wines, but moments worth remembering.
